GreenView™, GreenView™ Plus, GreenView™ Ultra, and RedView™是GeneCopoeia公司最新研發具有安全無毒,靈敏度高,穩定性好的EB替代品, 使用方法同EB,可用于前染法和后染法,條帶整齊不彎曲。GreenView™, GreenView™ Plus, and GreenView™ Ultra可在紫外燈或藍光儀下觀察發綠色熒光;RedView™可在紫外燈下觀察發紅色熒光。
核酸電泳是核酸研究的重要手段之一,其中溴化乙啶(EB)因其低廉的價格是分子生物學中使用最早和最為廣泛的核酸電泳染色試劑。但是EB是一種強誘變劑,具有高致癌性,其廢棄液必須進行凈化處理,而且EB的檢測靈敏度有限以及背景信號較高,目前正逐漸被靈敏度高以及安全可靠的新型核酸熒光染料所取代。

SafeGreen™ 和 SafeRed™ Loading Dye 含 6 × DNA 上樣緩沖液中及兩類常用的示蹤染料 (Xylene Cyanol FF 和 Bromophenol Blue),用以監測電泳期間瓊脂糖凝膠條帶(呈現紫色和藍色兩個條帶)遷移情況。DNA條帶可通過 LED 或紫外光直接觀察,無需前染和后染步驟。

SafeGreen™ 和 SafeRed™ 無法穿透細胞膜進入活細胞,從而降低了細胞毒性(Figure 5)。
